I truly adored Patsy. She made me laugh, and I loved her her love of life and love.
My most favorite moment with Patsy was working EVS and she was coming down the hall crying. I stopped her and asked what made my Patsy Van Gough cry? She said someone told her she had alzheimer's and she was upset she was going to forget.
We talked a bit, I said we all get forgetful, we have a memory max where we have to make room for the current...made fun of myself about writing lists and then forgetting the lists or putting stuff away for safe keeping and not being able to find it....her tears dried got some smiles and she shared how funny that I was worse off than her....when we parted and was getting back to work....I called back....having alzheimer's wasn't going to be so bac, she wasn't going to remember anyway...lol, she roared a huge laugh, called me a little name, going down the hall giggling. I will treasure the gift of having met and had time with her, she has a special place in.my heart.
My condolences for your loss.
