My condolences to the family, Anne was my connection to the Sussex area news to me in ON., I just talked to her about a week before I got the very sad news. I stayed with her for a few days in 2023 and we caught up on a lot of memories. I will miss her and she will always be in my memory.

Anne was such a sweet lady.Always so upbeat and smiling...I remember her when we OFTEN visited Kate and Denis and of course Maureen and us with the little playhouse.Anne helped giving us some yummy cookies from Kate...She was so kind to all the LINDEN kids who lived next door from her parents.I will never forget all the times we talked.since those days.Prayers to Maureen,Patrick and Anthony.Treasure all those great memories. hugs Susan

Anne was a wonderful nurse at Dr. Sullivan's office while our family were patients of his.. Her kindness and caring shone through not only as a nurse but as an exceptional person. Her obituary speaks volumes of the kind of lady she was---rest in peace Anne, you served your community well.
Anne Marie, better known as Amos when we knew her in high school, was funny and smart and kind. After reading the story of her life, it is clear that didn't change over the years.
Yours was a life well lived, Amos, you will be missed.

Will miss you so much ! Remembering all the great road trips we had with Robert and David . When we travelled together it had to be together, even if it meant following down a one way street.Our great trips to Sunday River with all the clan. While never having the pleasure of meeting your mother Pat, from what we have heard and read, Anne was a fantastic, active and involved lady who deeply cared for her family, friends and community. Our thoughts are with you all during this most difficult time.
To Anne’ family, I must say she has been an unbelievable asset to our cemetery committee. When we first started thinking about doing some “beautification” to the St Francis Xavier cemetery, Anne was there helping our committee with her knowledge of the families that had been buried thereby allowing us to be able to contact the family members. We would have been lost without her. Then she helped with our Christmas Home Tours and just last week called me to offer to look after the Home Show tickets this year. Anne will be missed for her smile, her willingness to help, always being herself. Thanks Anne and enjoy your reunion with Bob. Will miss you
Anne was a gregarious lady, fun loving, authentically herself and always kind(except when we made her mad). As a teenager, she was my second Mom. I will always have fond memories of the Hourihan family and the time I spent with Maureen, both on Magnolia Ave & at the lake. She leaves a wonderful legacy in her kids and no doubt, her grandkids. A light has gone out on Leo Lane at Cassidy Lake.
Our wonderful neighbour at the lake, Anne Marie Hourihan was such a gracious lady, energetic and kind, and was the first person to welcome us to the lake with rhubarb muffins.
We were the newcomers and we shared 16 summers at the lake, preserves and pies, bread and buns, lots of laughter and some sadness over losses. The sight of her in the lake almost every day meant that summer was well and truly upon us. She made the daily walk to the lake from her camp up behind us, in the beginning with Robert, and then after 2017, she took “Robert’s Walk” alone, but rarely did she miss a day.
Her generosity was enormous, her energy seemed boundless. She could also get up to a little mischief, especially in the company of her sisters-in-law, Julie Booth and Patricia Horton, who seemed more like sisters than in-laws.
A light has gone out on Leo Lane, and that light will be dearly missed.
We offer our most sincere condolences first to Maureen and Stephen, to Kyla and Anthony, and to Andrea and Patrick, but also to Anne’s “sisters” Julie and Pat, and to the extended family.

With summer at the cottage winding down, it was so nice to see Anne back at the pool, taking in AquaFit classes, standing in her "spot" with her good friends Shirley, Barb and Trena. She was there last Friday (the 4th), smiling as always and looking forward to her weekend. We dedicated our class to her memory today. She lived a full life and lived it well, may memories of Anne keep her close in the hearts of all those who loved her. Rest in Peace Anne, you are missed so much already.
