So saddened my friend Doris has passed, I will miss our late night chats about real estate, God, family and recipes. We shared many good times over the years with Doris and Art, always felt like coming home when we arrived at their home in Sussex. My desire was to be there today for her funeral but life made other plans. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family today.

Doris's struggle must have been very hard in her last days here on earth - loving her family so much and not wanting to say goodbye and loving her Savior and wanting to go to her final place of rest . Her suffering is over and what joy she must be having being in a place where there is no more pain - you are left with only memories - keep them alive by sharing them often with family and friends. Will be thinking of you often in the upcoming days as you go through this time of grieving and loss.

I met her years ago she was a very nice lady she ran the nursing home in Midland I worked there a short time. And she was also a distant relative of my mother's !

Our sympathies to Sister Doris’ entire family and friends. We were privileged to know Sister Doris when she allowed Amy, our daughter to board at her home. We immediately fell in love with her. She will be missed however she is rejoicing in her heavenly home.
Heartfelt sympathies to family and friends of this beautiful soul! Doris was the kindest person in the world and made the one and only chocolate creme-filled cake with boiled frosting. She will be as loved, missed and remembered always, as she is warmly welcomed home in Heaven.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, grandmother and sister .I had to smile when I seen the statement about Art giving her the look as I remembered it from when I worked part time for them in Midland when they had the special care home.

Thoughts and prayers extended to Doris's family We have many good memories of Doris when she lived here in Smiths Creek in the old farm house, Especially the fresh made warm buscuits she would bring up and we would have a cup of tea with them. Her great Faith in the Lord always gave us a lift also.
