Ray’s passing was certainly much to soon and am certain it has left Nicole, Tim and Patti with a deep sense of loss. Ray often spoke of Tim and Nicole’s accomplishments and know he was very proud of them both.
Memories of our friendship will live on in our minds and conversations for years to come. Thirty plus years of fishing trips to the Dungarvon and his uncanny ability to hook a salmon in the most unlikely places, will continue to bring smiles to his friends on the river. Although we lost touch over the past few years, I will miss seeing him from time to time, but will remember with fondness our forty plus years of friendship.

During the years I lived in Sussex corner, i often met up with Ray, on the golf course, in the curling rink or just out and about with Gary and Dale. He was a card playing, fun loving, kind, helpful man who I was always glad to spend time with. I will miss him.

Tim and the entire Gillies clan. I was saddened to hear of the passing of your Dad. You and Nicole were the joys of his life and as time passed, your families. I recall many years ago how he and Bob McLeod were always available to give a helping hand when there was a need. They were a wonderful pair. Heaven now has another angel, Heaven's gain, our loss.

Another "up on the hill" neighbour gone. Although I haven't lived there since 2009, Ray was my go to person many times, one being when a squirrel got in my stove. He gave me 2 choices. I choice the worst one for the squirrel. Condolences to all Ray's family and friends. Rest high on that mountain, Ray, your work on earth is done. See you on the other side.
