Obituary of Marjorie Eileen Perry

It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie Eileen Perry announces her death, which occurred on Wednesday, March 8th at Mill Cove Nursing Home. Born in White’s Cove, NB, on June 14, 1930, she was a daughter of the Late Ottis and Janie (Thompson) Fanjoy.

Aside from being a loving wife to her husband, Jack, and a doting mother to her own two daughters, Marjorie will always be remembered as the neighbourhood “mother” as her love for children and nurturing ways predisposed her to such a noble role.

Marjorie was a hard and conscientious worker both in and around her home and was also a faithful employee of McCready’s Pickles.

Marjorie is survived by and lovingly remembered by her daughters: Sandra Perry of Saint John, NB, and Nancy (Harry) Knight of Jemseg, NB; and her sister-in-law, Evelyn Fanjoy. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Coady (Charlene), Ashley (Ryan), Carrie Ann (Cory), and Holly (Allen); and her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Zachary, Aidan, Sydney, Grace, Kelsey, Harper, Jack, Claire, Haley, and Olivia.

Along with her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her dear husband of 65 years, Jack; her sisters, Muriel (Gilbert) Worden, Garda (Ronald) Ferris, Leta (Bud) Moore, Marie (Lawrence) DeMerchant, and Louise Fanjoy; and her brothers: Frank (Kate) Fanjoy, Norman (Marcel) Fanjoy, Garfield (Delores) Fanjoy, Garnet (Joan) Fanjoy, Abel Fanjoy, Lawrence (Muriel) Fanjoy, and Ronald Fanjoy
