Obituary of Glenna Long

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Glenna Grace Long announce her passing on February 22, 2025 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 90.

Born in Easton, Maine on July 18, 1934; she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Alma (Branscombe) Lint and the wife of the late John Wesley Long who passed away in 2014.

Glenna was a hard-working woman, whether it was as Certified Nurses Aid or raising her four wonderful boys.  She had a strong faith and love for God. She was an active member of the Abundant Life Church Sussex N.B, belonging to the Seniors Group and the Tuesday Bible Study Group.  Glenna enjoyed knitting, crocheting and word puzzles and never liked to sit idly. Her IPad was her lifeline with her family and friends.

She will live on in the hearts of her sons:  Bill Lint (Christine) of Gray, Maine, Dan Lint (Sheila) of Delta Junction, Alaska, and Corrie Cole (Christine) of Lafayette, Tennessee.
her grandchildren: Adam, Ethan, Ryan, Bryan, Brad (Dana), Danae (Nate) Brianna, Sarah and Elyssa; her great grandchildren: Gabriel, Clayton, Jena, Brady, Blake, Brantley, Bodie, Kane, Harvey, Vincent, Bennett; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Along with her parents and loving husband John, she is predeceased by her son, Gene Cole who passed away in 2017. She was also predeceased by all of her siblings; Brothers: Warren, Eldon, Phillip, Donald, Sisters: Evelyn, Ella, and Lorraine.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held from Abundant Life Pentecostal Church on; Sunday 03/02/2025 from 2-4pm and livestream Service to follow at 4pm from the Church. A celebration of Glenna’s life will be held at a later date to be announced.
