Obituary of Barb Bond

It is with love and sadness that the family of Barbara Rose Bond announce her passing at her home on April 9, 2025 at the age of 82.

Born in Gagetown, NB; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Ferris) Moss and the loving companion to Paul Chandler who passed away in 2018.

She will live on in the hearts of daughters: Dianne Vail (JC) of Oromocto, Lorie Bond (James Clayton) of Grand Bay Westfield, Jackie Bond of Cambridge Narrows and Michelle Bond (Tim Wilson) of Mount Middleton; her brothers: Chester Moss and his wife Jean of Nova Scotia and Everett Moss of Mill Cove; her sisters: Leta Kennedy of Kars, Marlene Moss of Mill Cove and Muriel White and her husband Philip of Big Cove; her son-in-law, David Vail; her brother-in-law, Alfred Dejeet; her grandchildren: Timothy Vail, Mitchell Vail (Ashley), Rebecca Moman, Bethany Vail (Adam), Terri Redden (Jonathan), Corey Jones (Devin Mannett), Mackenzie Evans-Bond, Hali Lewis (late Gordon Lewis), Maguel Welton (Maggie Hughes), Cassie Kincade (Colin Mason), Michaela Kincade and Araya Foster (Owen); her chosen grandchildren: Joshua Noddin (Cassie), Nicholas Noddin (Amanda) and Sheridan Noddin (Brandi); her great grandchildren: Lilly, Addison, Thomas, Stella, Archer, Atreus, Simon, Twyla, James, Aleigha, Parker and one on the way; her chosen great grandchildren: Griffin, Jaxon, Dominic, Chance and Rhylan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and Companion, she is predeceased by her sisters: Lena Vail (Sterling), Cora Clark (Robert), Bertha Dejeet, Violet Long (John), Dorothy White (Orville) and Marie Ferris (Dolphie); her brothers: Ron Moss (Thelma), Allan Moss (Lois) and Harold Moss; two infant sisters and by two infant brothers; her brother-in-law, Gordon Kennedy; her grandson-in-law, Gordon Lewis; her special niece, Suzanne Moss-Noddin.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held from Mill Cove Church of God on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 1:30 – 3:00pm. A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held from the Mill Cove Church of God on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 3:00pm with Pastor Steven Ferris officiating. 

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Living Memorial or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through wallacefuneralhome.com

The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to the nurses of the Sussex Extra Mural and Barb’s support worker, Pam Casey; they are forever grateful for all of your time, kindness, care and compassion. It will never be forgotten.
