Barry was a wonderful person. I always remembered having great conversations with him in elementary school and years later when I worked with his wife Pat.

Barry was one of my early childhood friends on Church Avenue around grade two. Although we did not stay close, because both families moved, we always remained friends and would have a chat whenever we would meet around town.
Debby has similar memories from younger years on Saint George Street.
Barry was always kind, considerate, and a good person to be around.

So sorry to hear about Barry. He was a friend during the early sixties. We were rink-rats together at the Kings County Stadium. I was a couple years older and he always challenged me to arm wrestling matches. The last time we played he beat me. He never gave up.

I remember buying hooks and sinkers from Barry at the old Mercantile when we moved to Sussex in the seventies. I thought then what a nice guy he was. My opinion of him never changed. I met Barry when I was a teen girl who used to attend the dances in Sussex in the summertime at the arena. We had live bands. It was loud and hot. We would dance and laugh and have fun. In the winter we would write the occasional letter and then next summer we would dance ! Ahhh teenagers he was a kind thoughtful articulate write and ... a great dancer! So sorry to hear of Barry's passing .We started grade one together and shared a lot of fun in the early days. In grade six we had the pleasure of serving under Molly Kennedy. Barry and i spent a lot of time in the corner to say the least. Ms. Kennedy would have Barry and I go to post office as well as other spots of interest to run her errands .i guess it was to keep the 2 of us out of her hair for awhile.. we loved our trips up town seemed to take us a long time for some reason. we remained friends for several decades after but we lost touch the last 10 years or so..A great guy who deserves to be remembered.
