Laurie Dunfield

Obituary of Laurie Dunfield

Laurie Susan Dunfield was born in Sussex, NB on January 18, 1961.  She was the daughter of the late Roy Havelock (Havie) and Ethyl Doreen (Seely) Dunfield.

Laurie worked at several places over the years including the Pine Cone in Penobsquis where she and her siblings all learned to drive; Zellers, the Motor Vehicle, and Beaver Lumber with her father until he retired.  But Tim Hortons was where she spent the last 20 years.  Jim, Chris, Meghan and the staff became her second family as well as the many regulars over the years.  She loved them as much as they loved her.

One of the things she loved to do was to bowl with Havie’s Heroes.  Over the years she attended many bowling tournaments and bowled on the Wednesday night mixed league in Sussex Corner with family and friends.

Family was very important to Laurie, and she loved every moment of the years that she spent in St. Martins, NB as a kid with her family. This love of St. Martins was also shared with her own children, they all loved to head to the shore as she called it for a visit.  She also enjoyed the many shopping trips to Bangor over the years with family.  As much as she loved being around family and friends, she also loved her quiet time spent at home playing games on her phone or watching a favourite TV series.

She will live on in the hearts of her son, Alan Mollins of Sussex; her daughter Laura Mollins of Saint John; her sister Debra O'Donnell and her husband Danny of Sussex and her brother, Shane Dunfield and his wife Pauline of Moncton; grandchildren Gabriel Mollins and Tristam Mollins; her nieces: Rachel O'Donnell of Millbrook and Leah Baldwin and Rob of Musquash; her nephews: Greg Dunfield and Kendra of Rockwood, ON and Tim Dunfield and Chelsea of Hampton; her great nieces and nephews: Alicia Fairbrother (Stephen), Dylan Brown, Maddie Dunfield, Blake Dunfield, Peyton Dunfield, William Dunfield, Lydia Dunfield, Lilly Baldwin and Izzy Baldwin; great great nieces, Brielle Beshara and Noelle Fairbrother; her aunt, Laurie Dunfield; as well as many cousins.

Laurie Susan Dunfield of Sussex passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 15, 2025 at the age of 64.
