Obituary of Joseph Bernard Carney

In loving memory, the family of Joseph Bernard Carney sorrowfully announces his peaceful passing on May 25, 2025, at the Sussex Health Centre in Sussex, NB. Born in London, UK, on October 31, 1949, Joe was the loved son of the late Thomass Martin Carney, and Mary Catherine Sullivan.  

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Rose-Anne of Sussex; his children: Sinead Budgell (Coby) of Erin, ON, and Siobhan Carney-Luff (Daniel) of Mississauga, ON; his grandson, Callum Luff; his siblings: Tom Carney (Sandy) of Guildford, England and John Carney of Pinner, England; and his sisters-in-law: Jacquie Thompson of Brandon, MB, and Juliette Popplestone (Ron) of Rocky Lake, MB. Joe is also survived by many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Joe is predeceased by his sister-in-law, Maggie Carney (John), and his brothers-in-law, Ross Thompson (Jacquie) and Damien Roy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). In keeping with Joe’s wishes, all events will be held privately.
