Obituary of Edna Matilda Walker
It is with deep sadness that the family of Edna Matilda Walker announce her passing, which occurred at her residence at Parkland Riverview on June 26, 2025. Born in Wards Creek, NB on May 3, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Effie (Orr) Friars.
Edna and Frank enjoyed life on the farm raising their six children and all the craziness that came with it. Edna loved hosting everyone who would come to the farm, whether they were salesmen or relatives from far away, and everyone in between. In her later years, she enjoyed travelling with her husband, Frank. They went on many extended trips including Australia, Kenya and the UK. She generously volunteered her time at her church and in the community.
Special thanks to all of the caregivers with special mention to Alicia and to all the staff at Shannex Riverview.
