Our family was hearthbroken about hearing of Venesse passing. We can't imagine the pain of losing someone so precious. I met Venesse in the late 90’s, while furthering my education and working part time. She introduced me to a whole new world of adults with challenging opportunities. I learned so much from her that summer about respect and dignity. I would love to have a riveting conversation about today’s social issues one more time. We bonded with our love of reading. My sincere condolences to all that were lucky enough to know Venesse. I knew her back in the early 90's when I was one of her helping hands. She nicknamed me "Mac" which stood for "MacGyver" which meant she appreciated my determination to solve problems and help her be as independent as she could be.... this means the world to me....
