Obituary of Jason Williams

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jason Cedric Williams, announces his death which occurred on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at his home in Sussex Corner, NB; leaving behind a legacy of laughter, adventure and unwavering love for his family and friends. He was born in Sussex, NB, on January 19, 1984 a son of Cedric and Patricia (Briggs) Williams.

Along with his parents, Jason will be sadly missed by his wife Renee (Arsenault) Williams; daughters; Chantale Williams, Chelsey Williams ; sister Jennifer (Nick) Kerr and their daughter Khloe Kerr of Cayman Islands; brother-in-law Lamond (Sophie) Arsenault; mother-in-law Dorothée Arsenault; and father-in-law Gary Robichaud. Jason was predeceased by biological father-in-law Claude Arsenault.

Born with an unquenchable spirit for the outdoors, Jason found his true home on the slopes and trails. He was an avid skier and devoted coach who inspired countless young skiers to chase the thrill of fresh powder with skill and respect for the mountain. When he wasn’t on skis, you could find him tearing up the trails on his mountain bike or heading into the wilderness for a hunt — always happiest under open skies.

Professionally, Jason dedicated himself to his career as a soldier in the Military with the same passion he brought to everything in life. Whether at work or in the wild, he led by example — humble yet driven, never one to boast despite his accomplishments. Jason gave back generously to his community. He volunteered countless hours as a coach with Poley Mountain Race Club, always ready to help, guide, and support others.

Those lucky enough to know Jason will remember his playful sense of humor. He was the friend who’d drop a perfectly timed joke to break the tension or lift your spirits when you needed it most. He never took himself too seriously — except when it came to the people he loved. He had a calm strength and was full of wisdom.

Above all, Jason was a devoted son, brother, father, husband, uncle and friend. His family was his anchor and greatest pride. He lived for the simple moments. Deeply missed doesn’t begin to describe the emptiness left behind by Jason’s passing, or the love that will forever remain in our hearts.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), from where visitation will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 12pm to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm.  There will be a Funeral Service on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 3:00pm from Trinity Anglican Church (853 Main Street, Sussex, NB), followed by a reception at the Sussex Legion (66 Magnolia Ave, Sussex).  Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery.
