Obituary of Robin Dunfield
It is with deep sorrow and love, we share the passing of Robin Marie Dunfield. After a long and courageous battle with cancer Robin left this world on July 30, 2025, at the young age of 39.
Born on June 7, 1986, in Sussex, New Brunswick, Robin was the beloved daughter of Sharron (Sawler) Dunfield and the late John Dunfield.
Robin lived a life that embodied generosity and acceptance. She would give the shirt off her back, to help someone in need without question. Her heart was generous, and her spirit was bold. Robin had a stubborn streak that matched her strength, she loved to laugh, and her smile would brighten even the darkest room. Her love for her family — ran deep. Before her illness, she moved to Hillsborough just to be closer to her nieces and nephews, who were her pride and joy. Known to many as “Auntie Robin” she would spend her time shopping for the kiddos all year long.
Not only did her devotion run deep for her family, but she treasured a love for animals. Robin never met an animal she didn’t love, and if it needed a family—Well there was always room in her heart and home. Butterflies held a special place in her heart, and purple was her signature color — a true reflection of her vibrant, and gentle soul. Robin had a passion for pop culture, a deep love of Disney and the show FRIENDS, she could often be found singing along to her favorite songs (especially the 80’s). However, she also enjoyed the quiet moments — curling up under a fluffy blanket, watching her shows, or calls to her mom Sharron.
Robin was a hard worker, not only was she reliable, but she was loyal. If there was a job that needed done, she would see it done in excellence. Robin’s ability to serve and meet the needs of others reflected her giving spirit. Robin started working at Tim Hortons, she managed an Ultramar in Sussex for years. Then in 2017 she Graduated from daVinci College in Fredericton NB becoming a veterinary assistant. In 2019 Robin started working with Wyndem Hotels and Resorts in various customer service positions.
Robin always ran a tight ship. She loved highlighters, post ITS, cat pens, and colored pencils. We always said if you wanted to give Robin the perfect day you could bring her to STAPLES and buy her an Iced Coffee! Robin loved to be in charge, and she could count money faster than any bank machine. However, this also became her excuse for always losing at board games like monopoly or Stock Ticker since she “had” to be the Banker.
(But the truth was, she wasn’t there to win.)
Robin had friendships from all over the world, and she loved to travel with her cousin Amber. She enjoyed a good fight with her brother Nick over anything that named a winner. Robin adored her sister-in-law Aimee and over the years shared many laughs. Robin made it her mission to invest into the kids of those who were closest to her. Auntie’s kids, you know who you are!
Robin will live on in the hearts of her mother, Sharron; her brother, Nick and his wife Aimee of Hillsborough, as well as her many treasured nieces and nephews: Adam & Laura, Braden, Ellia, Lydia, Chancellor, Sophia. Her large family with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. She is also survived by her cherished fur babies, Noah and Salem, who brought her immense comfort and joy, and remained at her side till her end.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.
