Obituary of Jaimee Floyd
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jaimee Lee Floyd on August 6, 2025, just one month shy of her 19th birthday. Born September 17, 2006, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Jaimee was the beloved daughter of Melanie Gionet and Eric Floyd.
Jaimee was a bright and beautiful light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was incredibly stylish—her hair and makeup always perfect, her outfits always drawing compliments. The epitome of a girly girl, she carried herself with elegance, grace, and a unique sense of fashion that was entirely her own. Her sweet, loving nature, thoughtful heart, and radiant smile made her truly unforgettable.
Small and delicate like a little fairy, with big doe eyes and a kind soul, Jaimee was gentle to all—she truly wouldn’t hurt a fly. She loved going for drives with the music turned up, snuggling her massive collection of Squishmallows (which took up most of her bed but she couldn’t part with a single one), and enjoying her favourite comfort food: noodles and butter. She adored her dog, Peeta, and her cats with all her heart.
Jaimee was young, vibrant, and full of life. She brought joy, laughter, and warmth into every room she entered. The world feels dimmer without her light, and her absence will be deeply felt forever.
Jaimee will be deeply missed by her loving parents: Melanie Gionet of Moncton and Eric Floyd and Jennifer Ferguson of Wards Creek; her cherished sister, Keira Floyd; her step sisters: Vaeh Ryan, Jenessa Ryan, and Deserae Ryan; her step brother, Damon Ryan; her paternal grandmother, Geraldine Powell; her maternal grandparents: Brian Gionet and Nancy Gionet; She leaves behind her treasured best friends: Sarah Sample, Iris O'Neill, Shelilla O'Neill, Paige Lewis, Lauren Seale, Hailey Seale, and Haley Doucette; her beloved fur babies: Peeta, Booty, Toopy, The Boy, and Dirwee; her aunts and uncles: Melissa Gionet (Bryden), Stephanie Gionet, Karla Thompson (Matthew), Tony Floyd (Rebekah) and Nancy Floyd as well as several cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Bill Floyd.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Jaimee’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Friday, August 22 at 1:00pm.
