Obituary of Bill Tabor
It is with deep sadness that the family of William Travis Tabor announce his passing, which occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on Friday, August 15, 2025. He was born in Sussex, NB on May 7, 1943, a son of the late John and Jenny (Gray) Tabor.
Dad and Mom met many, many years ago back in the 60's is when their love story began. They were married for almost 59 years until Mom went to heaven on May 15th of this year, exactly three months before dad left us and was reunited with her. Although we are all heartbroken, we are at peace in knowing that they are together again.
Dad loved nature and being surrounded by it at home. He was always feeding all the birds from his numerous bird feeders and would sit and watch them for hours. He had a true passion for hunting deer and moose during his favorite season which was fall. He loved watching the trees change color and the crisp air.
Dad's biggest love was for his family, he loved us all so much and always needed to know that we were all doing well and needed updates on the grandkids. He always made us laugh with his shenanigans and the funny faces he would make at the kids to make them laugh. He was the best Dad, Grampy and GG that we could ask for. He will be missed so very much by us all. We love you Dad.
Bill is survived by his children: Tony Tabor of Thorsby, AB, Wendy MacLean (Scott) of Hillsdale, NB, Jamie Lynn Tabor (Rene) of Saint John, NB, and Carol Leady of Illinois; grandchildren: Nick (Tina), Ann Marie, Joseph, William, Ryan (Kara), Michael (Dakota), Cody (Aileen), Kayden, and Ethan; several great grandchildren; sisters: Hilda Meehan, Doreen Pierce; along with several nieces and nephews.
