Obituary of Carol Ellen Alison

It is with deep sadness that the family of Carol Ellen Alison announce her passing, which occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on August 28, 2025. Born in Fredericton, NB on October 25, 1947, she was a daughter of the late John and Inez (Key) Bamford.

Carol is survived by her children: Karen Boyd (Grant) and Kevin Wiggins (Margie), Jamie Alison (Cindy), Sara Merrithew (John), and Bruce Alison; her sister, Bessie Currie (late Garrett); her several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Carol is also survived by her special friend, Albert Harrison.

Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her first husband, Wayne Wiggins and her second husband (the love of her life) George Alison; her daughter, Heather Rolfe; her brothers: Jarvais Bamford (Shirley), William Bamford, Percy Bamford, and infant brother, Dereck; her sisters: Kay Sanford (Cliff), Betty Ingham (Terry), her niece, Brenda Naish; her nephew, Mark Sanford; and her great-nephew, Jeremy Ingham.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A celebration of Carol’s life will take place on Tuesday, September 2 at 1:00pm from St. Mark’s Anglican Church (4 Needle St, Sussex Corner, NB) .
