Obituary of Karen Gregg

Karen Ann Gregg passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025 at the age 65, leaving behind cherished memories and the love of her family. She was born in the family barn in Mt. Pisgah, New Brunswick, on November 28, 1959, the daughter of the late John and Ellinor (Pedersen) Gregg.

Karen lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, and a deep love for those around her. She had a passion for knitting and an unforgettable gift for teasing—especially her nephew, Thomas.

Karen was known affectionately as “Gabby” for her love of conversation, she was blessed with a great smile and a generous heart. Karen adored animals, treasured her family, and delighted in being an aunt, always surrounding her nieces and nephews with affection and humor.

She will be deeply missed by her sister, Joan Cogger, and her husband, John of Roachville; her sister-in-law, Janet Gregg of Sussex; her nieces and nephews, Ashlee Gregg, Thomas Cogger, Katherine Cogger, Jacklyn Cogger, Stacy Cogger, Michael Cogger and Jenna Gregg; and her great-niece and nephews: John Smith, Deacon Kennedy, and Isabella Gregg.

Along with her parents, Karen was predeceased by her brothers: Carl Gregg, William Gregg, and Andrew MacDonald.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Judy Coggar for her ongoing kindness and support, and to the doctors and nurses of the Sussex Health Center for their compassionate care.

Arrangements are entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 1:00–2:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm in the Wallace Community Chapel.
