Obituary of Shirley Thibodeau

It is with love and sadness that the family of Shirley Ann Thibodeau announces her passing on September 8, 2025 at the age of 84. 

Born in Chapleau, Ontario, on March 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John and Clara (Jardine) Lowe and the wife of the late Anthony Thibodeau, who passed away in 2022.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Shirley lived a life full of humor and spirit. She loved playing darts, bowling, and bingo, and those who knew her will remember her for being stubborn in the best way—never leaving anyone to guess what was on her mind. With her quick wit and infectious laughter, she could brighten any room. Above all, she cherished her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, she would do anything for her family.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Kenny, and his wife, Katy, of Dieppe, and by her grandchildren, Caleigh and Alexander, who brought her immense joy.

Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers: John, Leonard, Edward, and Henry, and her sisters Dorina, Doris, and Margaret.

Her memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love she shared with all who knew her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). In keeping with Shirley's wishes, no funeral service will be held.
