I had the pleasure of working with Betty years ago at Lawtons. We often shared Sunday mornings doing the flyer changeover together and I always looked forward to our planned lunches, each taking turns to bring something special. She had such a great sense of humour and always made those shifts brighter. I’ll never forget the time she hinted that my leftover hodge podge “shouldn’t go to waste”, and happily enjoyed it herself. Betty was such a kind, genuine person, and I’ll always remember her fondly. My condolences to her family.
