Obituary of David Ravn
It is with deep sadness that the family of David Larsen Ravn announces his passing on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Kiwanis Nursing Home. Born in Sussex, NB on September 20, 1948, Dave was the son of the late John and Bertha (Beach) Ravn.
David lived for nature and being outside, especially the woods, trucking and fishing, always trying to catch the “big one”. More than anything, family meant everything to him, especially his grandkids and extended family, also his neighbors, whom he really enjoyed spending time with, always giving a helping hand when needed. Even through years of health challenges, David faced every obstacle with courage and dignity, never allowing illness to overshadow his joy of life and others.
His remarkable resilience and unwavering grace served as an inspiration to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched over the years, and his Spirit lives on through precious memories.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Helen (Hall) Ravn; his children: Christopher Ravn (fiancé, Erica Phillips) of Portage Vale, NB, Jason Ravn (Jillian) of Petitcodiac, NB, Adam Ravn (Challis) of Petitcodiac, NB, and Sharon Townsend (Denis Leblanc) of Moncton, NB; His grandchildren: Brody Ravn, Blaine Ravn, Molly Ravn, Brandon Cameron, and Bella Bogle; and his siblings: Arthur Ravn (Sheila) of Ontario, Laura Black of Cambridge Narrows, NB, Muriel Ravn of Fredericton, NB, Kathy Giles of Salisbury, NB, and Sara Price of Anagance, NB. Dave is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
