Obituary of Carl David Darrell

It is with deep sadness that the family of Carl David Darrell announces his passing on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Norton, NB on March 30, 1939, Carl was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Howe) Darrell.

Carl will be lovingly remembered by his children: Tanya Melvin (Randy) of Saint John, NB, Carl Darrell (Kim) of Quispamsis, NB, and Kristie Brown of British Columbia; his grandchildren: Shayne, Cody, Logan, Caitlin, Dakota, Josh, Kara, and Daniel; his five great grandchildren; his sister, Helen Hughson of Fox Hill, NB. Carl is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by his first wife, Leona; his second wife, Edith; his brother, James Darrell; and his sisters: Viola Carhart, Evelyn Lunn, Ruby Darrell, and Bernice Fairbrother.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a celebration of Carl’s life will take place on Tuesday, November 25 at 1:00pm from the Wallace Community Chapel.
