Obituary of Ray Price
It is with deep sadness that the family of Raymond Stuart Price announces his passing on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing in Saint John, NB. Born in Sussex, NB on February 6, 1948, Ray was the son of the late Wilfred and Joyce (Turner) Price.
Ray was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying various aspects of outdoor life such as fishing, ice fishing, hunting, or paddling the calm waters in his canoe. He also invested greatly in his community, coaching soccer in Grand Bay-Westfield, and lending a helping hand at the local Legion breakfasts. He was a hardworking man, Raymond was a carpenter by trade and worked for Strescon in Saint John for 37 years until his retirement. In addition to his life work and leisure, Ray proudly served in the Reserve Forces with the 8th Canadian Hussars from September 1962 until October 1970.
Ray will be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Margaret Ann (Maggie) Price of Edmonton, AB, and Heather Ferguson (Ron), also of Edmonton, AB; his granddaughter, RoseJean (Rosie); his sister: Jean Price of Sussex, NB, his sister-in-law, Flora Price. Ray is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ray was predeceased by his brother, Howard Price.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a celebration of Ray’s life will be held on Saturday, November 29 at 1:00pm from the Wallace Community Chapel.
