Obituary of Marjorie Arsenault
It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Marjorie Arsenault, who passed away at her home on December 10, 2025 at the age of 88.
Born in Racine, Quebec on May 30, 1937; she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Taylor) Cole and the wife of the late Fred Arsenault.
Marjorie was an incredibly strong woman—no-nonsense, funny, and wonderfully stubborn. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and treated everyone with the same fairness and warmth. She enjoyed her cigarettes, a good game of bingo, reading, and word search puzzles, and she was a truly gifted cook. Though she spent much of her life as a devoted homemaker, at the age of 55 she began working in a program painting tree lines, a role that showcased her remarkable work ethic and determination.
She will live on in the hearts of her children: Dwight Arsenault and his wife Virginia, Fred Arsenault and Patsy Shay and her husband Mike; her daughter-in-law, Wendy Arsenault; her grandchildren: Jeremy Shay (Ashlyn), Cody Arsenault (Erika), Brady Arsenault and Olivia Arsenault; her great grandchildren: Autumn, Noah, Tia, Lexi and Brody; her sisters: Betty Mason of Fredericton and Gladys Parisi of Oregon; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her loving husband she is predeceased by her son, Bill Arsenault; her daughter, Diane Arsenault; her brothers: Philip Cole, Bliss Cole, Rodney Cole and Frank Cole; her sisters: Beatrice Anderson, Isabel Masters, Verna Pearson and Shirley Hicks.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), from where a visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.
