Obituary of Krista Raymond
It is with deep sadness that the family of Krista Lynn Raymond announce her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, December 16 at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Saint John, NB on April 10, 1967, she was a daughter of Joan (Pynn) and the late George Mitchell.
Krista found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially kayaking, biking, and taking long drives in her beloved antique truck. She had a green thumb and a deep love for all her flowers. An avid and talented baker, she loved cooking for family and friends and took special pride in decorating beautiful cakes that brought people together. She loved her wine nights with the girls, especially her bestie, Kelly. Deeply family-oriented, she had a heart as big as the world and gave endlessly of herself to those she loved. An amazing wife and devoted mother, she loved her children most of all, and her warmth, kindness, and love will be forever remembered by all who knew her.
Krista will live on in the hearts of her loving husband, Glen Raymond of Searsville, NB; her children: Kyle Parlee of Sussex, NB and Alyssa Gaul (Adam), also of Sussex, NB; her siblings: Victor Mitchell of St. Martins, NB, Paul Bernier of Alberta, Sherry Robichaud (Jimmy) of French Village, NB, Tina Muir (Robert) of Sussex, NB, and Julie Vanderlaan (Frank) of Parleeville, NB; her mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Lorraine Raymond; her brothers-in-law: Ken Raymond of Manitoba Rd, Gordie Raymond (Allison) of Waterford, Kevin Raymond (Kelly) of Parleeville, Doug Raymond (Tracy) of Searsville and Jamie Moses (Kata) of Sussex and by her sisters-in-law: Joan Geloff (Frank) of BC, Linda Hagin (Nevin) of Alberta and Carol Raymond of Ontario. Krista is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Krista was predeceased by her father, George Mitchell.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), from where a visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 11:00-1:00pm followed by a celebration of Krista’s life from the Wallace Community Chapel.
