To the Giermindl Family. We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of "Oma" Olga Giermindl. We had the pleasure of getting to know the Giermindl family over many years, which span the time from when we lived in Hampton, NB, to the present time, now residing in Burlington, Ontario. We have so many fond memories of all our times at the Old Bavarian Restaurant, whether it was the time of Denison Potacan, or during visits back to see friends in NB. We were there most recently in May of 2025, and had a delightful reunion with many co-workers of the DPPC days, arranged through our dear friend, Brenda Brown. We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to all the family members at this difficult time. We shall cherish the fond memories collected over the many years, as far back as 1985. When we moved back home, the first place all the Cosman’s went to was this restaurant. Not just an eating place but a place that felt like home from the moment we entered . Sending condolences to all of her family. She was an amazing woman, strong, resilient, caring and very hard working. I learnt a lot from Olga, when working beside her in the kitchen. She always loved cooking what people enjoyed to eating. From potato noodles with apple sauce to blueberry dumplings, you never went home hungry. You are now at rest with those that left you far too soon.
