Obituary of Randy Bell

It is with deep sadness that the family of Randle Eric Bell announces his passing on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at his residence in Hammondvale. Born in Sussex, NB, on September 21, 1962, Randy was a son of the late Irvine and Pearl (McFarlane) Bell.

Randy has been a hard worker all his life. He started working at a young age at McLeod Brook for Wayne McLeod, while attending school. He always had jobs that dealt with animals as he loved animals. Many called him the animal whisperer because animals loved him. He worked at Canada Packers Poultry Division until it closed and then went to work for Daryl Walker in New Line where he stayed for over 25 years until his health made it difficult to continue doing farm work. From there he went to work at Easy Kleen Pressure Systems Ltd. where he spent the last seven years building pressure washers and building great friendships.

He would come home daily talking of Tim, Chandler, Scott, Rejean, and Amanda and the antics they would be up to. He enjoyed his time with his family, which he held dear. He didn’t show his love a lot, but he was so proud of his son, Andrew, and his daughter, Autumn. His brothers and sister meant the world to him too and enjoyed time spent with them chatting.

Randy was a character. He loved to joke and laugh and tease. His favourite pastime was bantering with his wife. He was a jack of all trades and very smart. He did not waste anything and nothing was thrown away unless he absolutely couldn’t fix it. He was very thrifty.

Randy loved his wife. He always told her she was the love of his life. They first met in 1978 in the old school mobiles. It wasn’t until 1986 that they started to date. They had been together for 40 years. He will be loved and missed so very much by so many.

Randy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Faith (Riley); his children: Andrew (Matty) of Portage Vale, NB, and Autumn (Morgan) of Moncton, NB; his grandchildren: Levi and Dale; his siblings: Wayne (Christine) of Penobsquis, NB, Bryant (Darlene) of Keirstead Mountain, NB, James Race (Joanne) of Browns Flat, NB, and Florence Kerr (Wayne) of Sussex, NB; his father & mother-in-law, David Sr. and Marilyn Riley; sister-in-law, Pamela Riley Almon, and brother-in-law, David Riley Jr.  Randy is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Besides his parents, Randy was predeceased by his step-mother, Blanche (Race) Bell and his step-brother, John Race.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). A visitation will take place on Friday, February 6 from 5-8pm, from Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church (489 Main Street, Sussex, NB). A celebration of Randy’s life will take place on Saturday, February 7 at 2:00pm, also from Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church.

Donations in memory of Randy may be made to the Living Memorial, Abundant Life Church, or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through wallacefuneralhome.com.
