Obituary of Barb Johnson

It is with deep sadness that the family of Barbara Faye Johnson announces her passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Born in Apohaqui, NB on August 23, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Earl Gray and Jessie Pearl (Thorne) Williams.

Barb will live on in the hearts of her children: Christine Grant (Raymond) of Ottawa, ON, Elaine Gowan (Bill) of Sussex, NB, Mark Johnson of Mt. Middleton, NB; her grandchildren: Caleb (Celeste), Charity (Marcus), Seth (Rebeca), Jonathan, Tiffany, Alex, Alanna (Alex), Tyler, and Trevor; her great grandchildren: Levi, Justice, Kairos, Selah, Reign, Samuel, and Charlotte; her siblings: Sandra McKnight (Malcolm) of Apohaqui, NB, Deryl Williams (Tressa) of Erb Settlement, NB, and Cedric Williams (Patricia) of Sussex Corner, NB.

Besides her parents, Barb was predeceased by her husband, Allison; her son, David Johnson and lovingly remembered by Shelley; her brother, Ronald Williams; and her sister, Anna Armstrong.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).  A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 10 at 1:00pm at the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church, 489 Main Street.  For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed.
