Obituary of Hazen Leonard Pevlin

It is with deep sadness that the family of Hazen Leonard Pevlin announces his passing on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Hibernia, NB on July 10, 1931, Hazen was the son of the late Thomas and Ida (Wilson) Pevlin.

Hazen will be lovingly remembered by his children: Randy Pevlin (Shirley) of Berwick, NB, Vince Pevlin (Monica) of Kingston, NB, Sterling Pevlin (Sherry) of Rothesay, NB, Linda Klein (Gerald) of Sussex, and Cherie Ewart (Brian) of Sussex, NB; and his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Hazen is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Hazen was the last surviving from among his siblings.  

Besides his parents, Hazen was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; his special friend, Fannie Voutour; his grandson, Jonathan Pevlin; his brother, Charlie; and his sisters: Marion, Gladys, Winnie, Inez, and Vera.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a drop-in celebration of Hazen’s life will take place on Sunday, March 8 from 4-7pm.
