Sincere condolences to all of you on your sweet mom's passing. She was so kind and welcoming to our mother when she moved into Scenic View and I enjoyed seeing her every time I visited. She loved chatting about her family and showing me her latest knitting project. She was blessed to have an amazing family and such a devoted daughter in law, she loved and appreciated all your visits, Kathy.

My sympathies to the Stewart families on the loss of a wonderful lady. I have many fond memories of Eleanor from my curling days. Way, way back when Eleanor was President of the NB Women’s Curling Association, I was her secretary one year & we headed off one morning to meetings in Fredericton. It was Spring, flood season, & the highway along the river was severely flooded. I’ll never forget Eleanor very deftly steering around several moose on the side of the road & we made it on time. Rest in peace Eleanor.

Ellen and I send condolences to Eleanor's family and all who loved this kind, patient and strong woman. Through sport we became good friends and she was very supportive and kind to us as we moved into Sussex. I always said that Eleanor was the real talent in the Stewart curling lore whose competitive spirit led her to many victories. May she now Rest in Eternal Peace!

My sincere sympathies to the Stewart family. Eleanor was a beautiful soul. I was very young at the time Avery and Eleanor moved from Saint John to Sussex where Avery was working at Sussex Poultry, I also worked there in the office. Their friends in Saint John were having a going away party for them and they were going to stay in Saint John for the weekend, the only problem was, they had four little ones and hadn’t been in Sussex long enough to know anyone, so Avery asked me if I would babysit and I said, well if you’re stuck and in a flash, he came back with I’m stuck! I moved into their house for the weekend! Eleanor taught me to curl, she was very patient and she gave me a love for the game that lasts to this day! She was a lovely lady and will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to the Stewart family. Eleanor was an important lady in my early life as I was on a junior curling team that was fortunate enough to be coached by the kind and sweet Eleanor. She was so dedicated in helping us grow and love the sport. She would often pick us up at the school and drive us to the curling club for practise or games. She was a great friend to my late mother and in later years, Eleanor would often ask her how my curling competitions were going. Even to this day, I often think of her strategy recommendations when playing the game. She was a very special lady. Cherish the wonderful memories that she has provided.

Although we meet Eleanor later in life when our Mom Maureen Hughes became her room mate at Kiwanis Nursing Home. She made a big imprint.
Her kindness and caring ways as she welcomed Mom and helped her to settle in will never be forgotten.
We will miss seeing her daily as we visit Mom especially on Dairy Queen Thursday evenings and the big smile as she enjoyed ice-cream Sundays with Mom.
Our condolences to all her family and friends

Our deepest heartfelt condolences to the Stewart family. Eleanor was a lovely lady. I remember our first Christmas on Pleasant Avenue, Eleanor giving us a call on the phone to wish Greg and I a Merry Christmas! We thought it was so kind that she would do this because we hadn't introduced ourselves to one another yet. Our prayers are with the family during this time of great loss!
