Obituary of Bruce Gordon Floyd

It is with heavy hearts, the family announce the passing of Bruce Gordon Floyd at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at the age of 77. Bruce was born in Sussex, NB, on Dec. 17th, 1948, son of Gordon and Cora (Armstrong) Floyd.

Bruce was raised 'on the farm', milking the cows, early morning, before school in Norton. After working for 32 years for the Government of Canada with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, he retired March 2002. One of his main passions was he enjoyed raising Holstein cattle in his BruBev hobby barn. He was known for loving date squares; collecting Hockey cards; and regularly 'opening' TIMS in Sussex, NB, meeting his early morning coffee friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, M. Beverley Floyd of 57 years; son Michael of Fredericton; son Jamie (Katrina) of Kiersteadville; sisters Carolyn Marr and Linda (Jack) Sadler; brother Bill (Carolyn), as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bruce was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Malcolm and Earle.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, and will be held at a later date.
