Obituary of Dana Finniss

It is with deep sadness that the family of Dana Robert Finniss announces his passing on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at his home in Sussex. Born in Sussex on July 12, 1981, Dana was a son of Earl Finniss and Barbara Finniss.

Dana will be lovingly remembered by his son: Edward “Teddy" Finniss McFarlane of Sussex, NB, and his twin sons, Richard and John  Dennis, his mother, Barbara  Finniss, his father, Earl Finniss; and his brothers: Charlie, Wesley, and Michael. Dana is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins; his niece, Kendra Burns and his close friends: Andrew, Brent, Danny, Joe, and Samantha. Dana also leaves behind his wonderful dog, Venom.

Dana was predeceased by his brother: Byron Douglas; his grandparents: LeBaron and Meta   Finniss and Ronald and Florence Pearson; his uncles, Burpee, Lorne, and Carl; and his aunt, Margaret Smith.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will take place on Monday, April 27 from 6-8pm. A celebration of Dana’s life will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at 11:00am at Trinity Anglican Church (853 Main St, Sussex, NB).

Donations in memory of Dana may be made to the Living Memorial, the #2859 RCACC, Sussex, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through wallacefuneralhome.com.
