Obituary of Annie Beck

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Mum, Grammie, Great Grammie, Annie Belle (Cromwell) Beck of Hunter’s Home who passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on July 1, 2026 at the age of 93.

Born in Hunters Home on December 3, 1932, She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Vine (Morton) Cromwell and wife of the late Walter Beck who passed away in 2008.

Our home was always open to everyone, and Mum would have a lunch for them which included tea along with her homemade bread, jams, jellies, and cookies.  She taught (or tried to) each of her children how to make these, along with knitting socks & mittens, crocheting doilies and tablecloths, and embroidering pillowcases. Many of these items ended up being gifts to family and friends and are beautiful keepsakes. 

She will live on in the hearts of her children: Linda (Bill Boone), Sharon (Bill Driscoll), Brenda (Jimmy Thebeau), Charlene, Darren (Deborah Macpherson) and Shelley Beck.  Her grandchildren: Tara Lee Lynn Beck (Kirsten Beck), Monique Macpherson Beck, Tanner Thebeau (Jessica McCullum), and Chelsea (Brad Nichols); Great Grandchildren: Paetyn Hancock, Keeley Beck, Daniel Nichols, Lyndon Nichols, and Willa Thebeau.

Annie is survived by her sisters-in-law: Edith Beck, Loretta Beck, and Margaret Cromwell, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mum, who was the last surviving member of her family was predeceased by her siblings:  Lillian (Jack Callaghan), Oliver Seth, Wellington Cromwell (Daphne), Arthur (Joan), Jason (Margaret), Dorian (Ralph Keirstead), Hanford, Ernest (Bertha), King (Barb), Seth and her beloved grandson, Daniel Beck.

Many thanks to the staff and volunteers of the Kiwanis Nursing Home for the excellent care and for being her second family. 

 Arrangements are entrusted in the professional care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176). As per Annie’s wishes, no visitation or service will be held.
