It is with great sadness that the family of Raymond Richardson announce his passing on July 12th, 2026 with his beloved daughters by his side after a brief battle with cancer at the Saint John Regional Hospital. 

Born on January 20th, 1958 in Sussex, NB, he was the son of the late Earl and Hazel (Crawford) Richardson.  

His greatest joy was his family. He was a loving Dad, and an extremely proud grandfather. He loved his wife dearly and missed her daily. His warm smile, steady wisdom, and sense of humour will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Ray spent his life building a legacy of hard work, kindness and dedication. He spent 39 years of working at Downey Ford in Saint John and before that was a brick layer. Outside of work, Ray was a man of many passions. He loved the Lions Club, particularly volunteering for Bingos, loved going for weekend coffees with long time friend Bruce Chown, and dog walks with his partner in crime, Sammy! 

He is survived by his loving daughters, Mandy (Kevin) and Melissa (Christopher); his grand children: Violet, Brennan, Gavin, and Adrian; his siblings: Debbie, John (Beth), Chris, Randy (Lois); as well as several nephews, aunts and many cousins. 

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife, Mary (Bartlett) and by his granddaughter, Lily McDonald. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM. A Celebration of Ray’s life will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 11:00AM from Wallace Community Chapel.
