Ray McFarlane Obituary
It is with deep sadness that the family of Raymond Stanley McFarlane announces his passing which occurred at his home on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Born in Markhamville, NB on June 5, 1942, he was the son of the late Stanley and Sarah (Allan) McFarlane.
Ray loved life and enjoyed a good time with lots of family and friends. He was so proud of his family and their many accomplishments. He was an advid outdoorsman, especially hunting and fishing. He had many jobs over the years from delivering milk, Sussex Fawcetts, Mobile vehicle washing, Moffetts, to his final years at the Sussex Royal Canadian Legion. He was a great handyman when it came to plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, baking and cooking. He was well known for pickling and making jams. And for all these things, Ray will be always remembered.
Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jane (Carson) McFarlane; son Darryn (Virginia) McFarlane of Sussex, NB; daughters: Wanda McFarlane of Sussex, NB, Krista McFarlane (Murray Wilson) of Quispamsis, N.B, Special Nephew: Rob Gale ; step-children: Curtis (Mary Anne) Jeffrey, Tracey (Ken) Reynolds, Tammy Jeffrey, Scott (Andrea) Jeffrey; grandchildren: Justin (Amber), Jeremy (Stephanie) and Sarah (Jason), Chad (Kathyrn), Kate (Ben); step-grandchildren: Michael & Devin Jeffrey, Sarah (Jordan) Cormier, Brooke Jeffrey, Reese Jeffrey, Taylor (Forrest) Fiander; great-grandchildren: Kolby & Savannah, Chloe & Amelia, Xavier &Everly, and Avery; step-great-grandchildren: Novaleigh & Piper Jeffrey, Charlotte Cormier and Beatrice Lomax :Very special friends Faye and Greta along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers: Leon McFarlane, Stewart McFarlane, Milford McFarlane, Johnny McFarlane; sisters: Margerite Keys, Vivian Snider, Lois Esmond, Helen McLeod, Ruby McFarlane, Greta Adair and step-son Randy Jeffrey.
The family wishes to thank Dr, Bakezadeh, Nurses of the Sussex Extra Mural Program, Extended Dr’s and Staff of SJRH Oncology and Heart Depts.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 4 to 7PM. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 11:00AM from Wallace Community Chapel.
