It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Dionne Angela Yeomans, which occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on Monday, July 20, 2026.  Born in Hillsdale, NB on January 27, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Mary (Allaby) Johnston and wife of the late William James Yeomans.

Dionne is survived by her three children: son Robert (Evelyn) Yeomans of Salt Springs, NB; daughter Shawny (Leonard) Muise of Salt Springs, NB; son Gregory (Lisa) Yeomans of Hampton, NB; grandchildren: Brandon (Katlyn) Yeomans, Joelle (Michael) Muise, Benjamin Yeomans, Sarah Chisholm, Josh Yeomans, Johnathan Yeomans; great-grandchildren: James, Alexa, Aliyah, Sadie, Willa, Lenny; brothers: Humphrey (Janie) Johnston, Leverne (Gail) Johnston; sister Evie (Stuart) McKay; along with several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, Dionne was also predeceased by her brothers: Karrl Johnston, Cyrus Johnston, Travis Johnston, Anglin Johnston, Gorman Johnston; sisters: Winnie Parlee, Juanita Keys and Betty Bettle.

Dionne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed hunting, picking berries, cooking and being in the sun. Her greatest times of happiness were found in the simple moments spent with family especially when the grandkids arrived; she was the best at whipping up a quick meal and you never went hungry while you were visiting. Dionne was known for her boundless love and generous heart, she brought sunshine and laughter wherever she went, always making everyone feel welcome and loved. She will be greatly missed but her light will shine on in our hearts forever.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) and will be held privately at this time.
