It was sad to hear of Peters passing , I first met Peter in 1970 while serving with B Squadron of the 8th Hussars , Warrant Holder was an integral and respected member and leader of our squadron , I also had Peter as a teammate for 20 years while playing on his Gentleman's Hockey League team the Sharks, Peter hardly ever missed a game and always had a smile on his face he truly loved playing the game .Connie and I wish to express our sympathy to Collen ,Danny and the rest of the Holder family for your loss.

To Coleen and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I was lucky to grow up right alongside Peter and Coleen’s farm. I would often cross paths with Peter in his trusty tractor when I would go for bike rides or walks past the farm along Parleeville Road. He always had a friendly wave or greeting ready. I also have fond memories of visiting the barn to greet the cows and play with the various barn cats.
I will always look back with fondness on those memories. Sending you all my most sincere condolences and care during this very difficult time.

We are truly saddened in the loss of a wonderful friend. Surely miss our many cheerful chats on the phone.

Our players enjoyed all his many fun stories, Peter arrived each game early for a cup a tea and chat. He was our top winner of the day several times. He also enjoyed our snack times after but quite often left to take grandsons to hockey practice. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to meet him. Our thoughts and prayers.

Peter was a kind hard working man, and a friend to all. Many memories of him with my uncle Stan, and with my folks as well. Always willing to lend a hand when needed
All through my school days any fundraisers that involved selling chocolate bars…look no further than to Peter to take care of making quota! He would buy a case or two everytime. Sometimes even call to ask if we had more to sell. He was our first stop as then we knew we didn’t really need to “pound the pavement” for more sales.

Coleen, Dennis, Danny, Jenny and families, I am so sorry to hear about Peter's passing. What a genuine person he was as a husband, a father and as a friend. In recent years, I got to know him more as an expert apple peeler, as we worked for a church fundraiser.. he loved to talk and 'carry on', all the while making pie making and all the hard work just a little bit easier. My back was hurting standing making crusts and he called the next day to see if I was feeling better, that is the kind on man he was. He will be missed by all who knew him.
