Obituary of Bob Hall

It is with deep sadness that the family of Robert “Bob” John Hall announces his passing on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Sussex Health Centre in Sussex, NB. Born in Parkside, NB on November 7, 1937, Robert was a son of the late John Albert and Mabel Agnes (Northrup) Hall.

Robert was a successful small business owner in Sussex as well as having served on the former District 18 School Board and Sussex Town Council, and Sussex Minor Hockey as a coach, manager and executive.  His life was deeply rooted in faith and family, both of which remained at the heart of everything he did.

Robert will be lovingly remembered by his children: Terri Lyn Hall (Roman Mahnic) of Sussex, NB, Myles Hall (Connie Holland) of Sussex, NB, Tony Hall (Michelle Hall) of Fredericton, NB, and Randy Hall (Jennifer Hall) of Sussex Corner, NB; his grandchildren: Casey Hall, Eryn Rivington (Gavin Rivington), Molly Hall (Jean-François Cyr), and David Hall; his great grandchildren: Oscar, Louis, and Drew; and his brother, Glen Hall (Peggy Hall) of Florenceville, NB. Robert is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife, Josephine; his sisters: Edris Brace, Mona Chambers, Verlie Campbell, and Lorna Watkins; and his great granddaughter, Audrey Rivington.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176), from where a visitation will take place on Sunday, August 9 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will take place on Monday, August 10 at 11:00 am from Trinity Anglican Church (853 Main Street Sussex, New Brunswick).

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Dow Quality Home Care who made it possible for Dad to stay in his home to the very end.
