Some of my fondest memories go back to the Thanksgiving Hockey Clinics in Liverpool and Art first twisting my arm to come and then hosting me with such warm hospitality each year. He was impossible to say NO to! And beyond that the car load of kidz and hockey gear showing up every summer in Moncton. He was so deeply committed tho the ministry of HMI. He will be missed! Deepest love, sympathies and Apohaqui prayers to each of you! I so wish we were able to drop by Tuesday and see you all and share some stories, but we are currently in Alberta until the end of August! Our thoughts and prayers will be with you over the coming days!

Dearest Beryl and family, I am so deeply sorry to be reading of Arthur’s passing. I have so many fond memories of times shared with ‘The Long Family’ for nearly 50 years now!
Our friendship has always been a deep and lasting one, despite all of the changes that have taken place over those years. Art was such a faithful friend to Larry during his long battle with Parkinson’s Disease, and I will always be thankful for that,; as well as our many shared joys and sorrows, as we were bringing up our families. Friendships like ours are rare, and a true gift from God! My love and prayers are with each and every one of you, during this time of sadness, but as Christians ‘we mourn, but not like those who have no hope!’. Arthur has run the race that God had set before him, and is now hearing those welcome words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant!” Take comfort in that and treasure your memories. My deepest condolences Beryl, to you and the rest of the family. You and Art played such a significant role in my life and our family. Your support of Hockey Ministries over the decades has been such a source of encouragement. Meeting the Long family through the Moncton hockey camp back in 1986 would then lead to a hockey clinic in Liverpool organized by Art which would then lead me to 37 years serving with Hockey Ministries. My visits back to Liverpool always included a visit to the Long's. You and Art loved hearing the stories of lives transformed through a hockey ministry. Having lost Vicki, my dear wife of 43 years, two years ago, I understand the pain of grief and loss. But we also take comfort in the knowledge that Art and Vicki have entered into their "fullness of joy" (Psalm 16). This is what our faith assures us. It is the hope of every Christian. Revelation 21:4 tells us of a place where there will be no more death, mourning, crying or pain. We've never been to a place like that, yet this is what God promises those who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Please be assured of my prayers during this difficult time.

Beryl and Families
My heart is sadden I send my prayers, love and condolences.
I was a little girl with pig tails (that he enjoyed pulling)when I first met Arthur. Later he became my brother in law and remained a friend . Going to visit Arthur and Beryl was like coming home. Thank you Arthur for always welcoming with a hug and smile,

Dear Beryl Stephen and I were shocked to hear Arther passed away. Stephen and Arther knew each other for a lot of years. When Stephen started working at Sussex Cheese and butter at 17, he travelled with Arther on the milk truck. And they have been best Buddies ever since.when he moved to N.S he lived with you and Arthur. Pattie & Bert were babies.Our sincere condolences too you and the family on the loss of Arther.
