Obituary of Doug McLaughlin

It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Lloyd McLaughlin announces his passing at home on August 21, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born in London, Ontario, on February 11, 1948, Douglas was a man who appreciated the simple things in life and, above all else, treasured his family.

Douglas worked for Nestlé Canada for 30 years as a member of the janitorial staff. Away from work, he was happiest enjoying the simple pleasures of life and spending time with those he loved. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren held an especially precious place in his heart and, in Doug's eyes, they could do no wrong.

Doug will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the many memories they were fortunate enough to share with him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

He will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Gail; his daughter, Amy McLaughlin (Dennis) of London, Ontario; his stepson, Scott Landry of London, Ontario; his beloved grandchildren, Katie, Donnie, Shakira, Colton, Gage, and Jules; and his great-grandchildren, Beau and Evander. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Along with his parents, Douglas was predeceased by his stepson, Christopher Landry.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). At Doug's request no visitation or funeral will be held.
