Obituary of Lois Faye Simpson

It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Lois Faye Simpson announce her passing on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Pine Grove Nursing Home in Fredericton, NB. Born in Sussex, NB on August 24, 1957, she was a daughter of the late John “Wes” and Helen (Ganong) Gailey.

Lois, will live on in the hearts of her brothers: Sydney Gailey (Cathy Melvin) of Kierstead Mountain and Edward Gailey (Anna) of Head of Millstream; her sister: Pearl Douthwright of Sussex; her brother-in-law, Myles McCully of Millstream; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Bettle of Manitoba. Lois is also survived by her several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Lois was predeceased by her brothers, Howard, George, and Aubrey; her sister, Nettie Gailey; and her brother-in-law, Earl Douthwright.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Friday, June 28, from 1-2pm, followed by a celebration of Lois’ life at 2:00pm in the Wallace Community Chapel.
