Obituary of Florence Pollock
Florence Muriel Pollock, of Sussex, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on July 9, 2002. born in Youngs Cove Road, NB on April 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Mary (Flower) McNamara, she was the wife of the late Ronald Albert Pollock who passed away in 2001. Florence is survived by her 2 Daughters, Barbara Richard and her husband Tony of Saint John; Joanne Sands and her special friend Randy Smith of Calgary, Alberta, her son, Noble Pollock of Newtown, NB, 2 brothers, William and his wife Maude McNamara of Fredericton, NB; John and his wife Barb McNamara of Hampton, NB, 2 sisters, Lucille Jones and her husband Dan of Toronto, Ont; Mary Lewis and her husband Neil of Moncton, her brother-in-law, Holly Reece and his wife Bea of Youngs Cove Road 6 Grandchildren, Adam and Jason Pollock, Marylee Fry, Caressa and Deanna Knox and Dana Sands, 6 Great grandchildren, Joshua, Patrick, Samuel, Zachery, Whitney, Harley, as well as several nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy, her brother James McNamara and his wife Anne. Florence Muriel Pollock Florence took her training for nursing in Cornwall, Ontario. She was employed for many years on the Nursing Staff of the former Kings County Memorial Hospital and later the Sussex Health Centre. She was a member of the St. Paul's United Church and a long time member of the Choir. Florence was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20, the Shuffleboard league and the Tuesday Morning Senior Citizens, the Knightville Mama Bears, the Wednesday Crokinole players and the Sussex and area cancer survivors. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Thursday 2-4, 7-9. The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 will hold a tribute Thursday at 6:45 p.m., The Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Friday, July 12, 2002 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Hubert Bartlett officiating. Commital Service will be held at Youngs Cove United Church Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
