MR. EDWARD JAMES RYAN, of Belleisle Creek Manor (formerly of Sussex Corner), New Brunswick, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on February 28, 2002, born in Norton, N.B. on February 13, 1913, he was the son of the late Robert John and Agnes Bridgett (Coleman) Ryan. Ed is survived by his beloved wife Muriel Mary (Benson) Ryan, 2 daughters; Carole & Eric Nelson of Sussex and Marilyn (Jo) Carhart of Fredericton, a son-in-law Reg Boudreau of Moncton, 7 Grandchildren Danny, Darren, Shelley, Erica, Shannon, Tony, and Chris, 4 Great grandchildren; Amanda, Joshua, Katherine and Teresa, several nieces and nephews. Edward is predeceased by a son Michael who passed away in 1968 and a daughter Betty who passed away in 1998, 2 brothers Nathanial, Warren his sister Dorothy. Edward was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday 2-4, 7-9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier on Saturday, March 2, 2002 at 1:00 pm, with Fr. Peter Bagley officiating. Interment will take place at Wards Creek Cemetery in the spring.
