Mr. Kenneth Smith of Poodiac passed away at the Sussex Health Center on November 10, 2011 at the age of 69. Born in Sussex on April 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Parker and Melinda (West) Smith. Ken worked as a excavator operator for Fundy Tree Trimming until his retirement. Ken is survived by his wife Jane, his daughter Sheri (Andrew Turnbull) of Brampton, ON and his two sons; Randy and his wife Marlene Perry and Robert and his wife Rosanne all of Sussex Corner; nine grandchildren: Chelsea, Keri, Kaley, Megen, Ashley, Brett, Ben, Courtney and Lucas; his sister: Lucy Stewart and her husband Merton of Sussex; his sisters-in-Lucy Smith of Picadilly and Nina Smith of Sussex, Jane's father, Gordon Smith of Manitoba Road; Jane's sitsters, Edith, Lydia and Caroline; her brother Robert Smith as well as several nieces and nephews. Ken is predeceased by his infant granddaughter Jennifer Rose Smith; his brothers: Henry, Allan, John and Beverly; his sisters: Binnie Smith and Lella Parlee and the mother of his children, Jean (Galley) Smith-Hudlin.
