Obituary of Peter Dirksen
Mr. Peter Franz Dirksen, of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, and formerly of Lower Millstream, New Brunswick, passed away at his residence on November 29, 2001. Born in Schwedt, Germany on April 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Franz and Margarete (Schmidt) Dirksen. He was the beloved husband of the late Anita (Ahlden) Dirksen who passed away in 1999. Peter is survived by his 3 Daughters: Karin Aiton and her husband Hugh of Sussex, NB, Petra Cripps and her husband Greg of Apohaqui, NB, Lore Dirksen of Lower Millstream, NB, his son, Ulrich Dirksen and Misty Webster of Lower Millstream NB, 2 Brothers: Hans (Achim) Joachim and his wife Elisabeth, Wilfred and his wife Henny and his sister, Rose-Marie Schneider and her husband Horst all of Germany. 6 Grandchildren Nick, Jason and Matthew Aiton and Sarah, Alex and Justin Cripps, several nieces and nephews. Peter Dirksen Peter Dirksen Peter was predeceased by an infant son, David, a brother Farald and a sister Farlind. Peter was a retired farmer, and a former member of the Lower Millstream United Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). At Peter's request there will be no visitation. Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Evans Bleakney officiating. Burial will be at Riverbank Cemetery. Following the committal service there will be a time of fellowship with the family at the home of Petra & Greg Cripps. Donations made to Sussex Health Centre, River Bank Cemetery, Parkinson Foundation of Canada or the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
