Mrs. Mary Lee Friars of Sussex passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on November 2, 2011 at the age of 75. Born in Saint John on January 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Waldo and Constance (Potts) Watson and was the wife of the late Kenneth Friars who passed away in 2010. Mary Lee is survived by her sons: Bruce and his wife Anne of Plumweseep and Tom (Tammy Gilchrist) of Sussex; her daughter, Pamela Friars of Saint John; four grandchildren; Carly Anne Friars (Stephen Fanjoy), Tyler Friars, Nicholas Friars (Jenna) and Christian Gilchrist - Norrad; her brother Doug Watson and his wife Shirley of Kars, NB, her sisters: Barb Mabey of Cambridge Narrows, Joey Yetman and her husband Bill of New York and Betty Piercey and her husband Ron of Port Hope, ON ;as well as several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex. As per Mary Lee's wishes, no visitation will be held. A Celebration of Mary Lee's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00am with Jeanette Cosman officiating. Donations may be made to the Living Memorial in memory of Mary Lee.
