Obituary of Flora Armstrong
Mrs. Flora Isabel Armstrong, of Apohaqui, NB, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on September 8, 2000 at the age of 79. She was born in Lower Millstream, New Brunswick on September 22, 1920, Flora was the daughter of the late David and Verna (MacAuley) MacDonald. Flora is survived by her beloved husband Roy Tillie Armstrong, 2 sons, David of Hamilton, Ontario, Richard and his wife Julie of Apohaqui, 4 brothers, Roy MacDonald and his wife Bea of Sussex, Ken MacDonald and his wife Gertrude of Quispamsis, Ronald MacDonald and his wife Enid of Lower Millstream, George MacDonald and his wife Leona of Sussex, 3 sisters, Ruby Morrison and her husband David of Gondola Point, Verna Patterson of Sussex, Alice Chambers of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Robert, Debbie, Randy, 6Great Grandchildren, Randy, Lucas, Nicholas, Albert, Gemma and Samantha, as well as several nieces and nephews. Flora was a member of the Silas James United Church, the UCW and sang in the Church Choir for many years, and she was a member of the Apohaqui Keeping Young Club. She was an avid card player and never turned down the opportunity for a good game of cards, except on Sunday. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Sunday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be from Silas James United Church on Monday, September 11, 2000 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Doug Cosman officiating. Interment at Trinity Cemetery.
