Obituary of Alice Baxter
Mrs. Alice Myrtle Baxter, of 20 Bridge St. Apohaqui, New Brunswick passed away at her residence on August 20, 2000. Born in Mercer Settlement, New Brunswick on November 22, 1913, she was the daughter of the late A. Herbert and A. Amelia (Coleman) Humphrey. Alice will be greatly missed by her husband Milton, her son Walker of Newtown, 2 Brothers Coleman of Halifax and Arthur and his wife Lila of Norton; 3 Sisters Gertrude Bell of Sussex; Rita Mercer of Norton; Laura and her husband Tom Anderson of Newtown, a sister in law Cecilia Humphrey of Bloomfield, 2 Grandchildren, Ules & Koreena, Several nieces, nephews and Cousins. Alice was predeceased by 2 brothers Frank and Albert. She taught in New Brunswick Schools for 6 years and was a past First Vice President of Hospital Aid in Sussex, past area director of the Eastern New Brunswick Women's Institute, she was a member of the 1980 Keeping Young Club; Silas James United Church and the UCW. Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 22, 2000 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Doug Cosman Officiating. Interment at Riverbank Cemetery. There will be a time of fellowship with the family following the committal at the Centennial Hall in Apohaqui. At the family's request, donations may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice.
