Obituary of Edith Mary Morrison

Edith was born in Millville, York Co. on May 14, 1913. She was the daughter of the late James Young and Rosetta (Lowe) Young and was the wife of the late Gordon A.Morrison, who passed away in 1983. Edith is survived by her daughter, Louise Secord and her husband Lloyd of Apohaqui, NB; two sons: James Morrison and his wife Mary of Mechanic Lake, NB and Ronald Morrison of Apohaqui; six grandchildren: David Morrison and his wife Beth of Rockville, Andrew Morrison of Apohaqui, Donald Morrison of Sussex, Steven Secord, Gordon Secord and his wife Rosalind of Apohaqui and Mary Robertson and her husband David of Truro, NS; eleven great-grandchildren: Courtney, Michael, Zara Morrison all of Apohaqui, Michelle, Miranda, Mark Morrison all of Rockville, Malcolm, Abby and Ben Secord of Apohaqui and Liam and Laura Robertson of Truro, NS; her cousin Marjorie of Fredericton, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews Mrs. Edith Mary Morrison of Apohaqui passed away at the Sussex Health Center on November 29, 2012 at the age of 99. Edith was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Young and a sister Ethel Young. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex, from where visitation will be held on November 30, 2012 from 6-9pm. A Celebration of Edith's life will be held from Sussex Baptist Church on December 1, 2012 at 1pm with Rev. Dr. Leo Gallant officiating. Interment will be in Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex, N.B. Memorial donations made to the Sussex Dialysis Unit, the Kidney Foundation or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the people at the Sussex Health Center, specifically the Dialysis Unit and Dr. Robert Stevenson, for the special care Edith received.
