Obituary of Jean Flora Kelly

Jean was born in Collina on October 8, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Parlee) Chown. Jean married at the age of 19, brought up her children and over the years taught school for a period, cooked in lumber camps and was a member of the Dietary staff at the Kings County Memorial Hospital. Jean will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Flora Price of Sussex; her son, Paul Kelly and his wife Tammy of Sussex; her grandchildren: Amanda Price of Sussex, Allan Price (Angela DeBow) of Sussex, Rebecca Price (Jody Stewart) of Petitcodiac; Sean and Allie Kelly of Long Creek; her great grandchildren: Conner and Jackson Stewart and Ella Price; her brother, Alton Chown and his wife Bertha of Keirstead Mountain; her sister, Doris Keirstead-Thorne and her husband Charles of Sussex; her daughter-in-law, Karen Ann Murphy and her husband Wayne of Sussex; her stepsons: Jim Kelly and his wife Dianna and their family, Hal Kelly, and Burt Kelly and his wife Linda and his family as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jean Flora Kelly, of Sussex, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on November 28, 2012 at the age of 85. Jean is predeceased by her husband Arlington Kelly, her son Gary Long, her son-in-law Howard Price, her daughter-in-law Tamara McLean Kelly, her grandson Samuel Kelly, her brother-in-law, Ronald Keirstead, and her step daughter Bernice Sibley. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). where visitation will be held on Friday, November 30 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service celebrating Jean's life will be held from Keirstead Mountain United Baptist Church on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Brian Steeves officiating. The interment will take place at Keirstead Mountain Cemetery followed by a time of fellowship with family in the church basement.
